1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into legally binding agreements to use our platform. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

2. Nature of Service: Game of Skill

Calorie Challenge is a "Social Discipline Protocol" and a game of skill.

2.1 No Gambling

Calorie Challenge is NOT a gambling service, lottery, or game of chance. Winning is based 100% on physical exertion and verified data.

2.2 Financial Pledge

By entering a challenge, you voluntarily pledge assets (USDC/$CALO). You acknowledge that failure to meet the biometric requirements will result in the forfeiture of these assets.

3. The "Cali" AI Persona Waiver

The App utilizes an Artificial Intelligence personality known as "Cali" (Computational Accountability Logic Interface).

3.1 Emotional Waiver

You explicitly waive any right to claim damages for emotional distress, offense, or psychological impact caused by the AI's commentary, "roasts," or notifications. You understand this is a gamified fictional character designed for entertainment.

3.2 Calibration

You retain the right to switch the AI to "Zen Mode" or "Nice Mode" at any time via the Settings if the interaction becomes uncomfortable.

4. Bio-Machine Avatar & Public Display

4.1 Visual Representation

You agree that your in-app Avatar is a direct reflection of your activity data.

4.2 No Defamation

You accept that if you are inactive, your Avatar will visually degrade (becoming "Rusty," "Dusty," or "Corrupted"). You agree that this public display of inactivity is a core game mechanic and does not constitute defamation or public shaming.

5. Anti-Cheat & "The Sheriff"

5.1 Biometric Validation

We use an algorithmic system ("The Sheriff") to analyze GPS speed, Z-Axis oscillation (bouncing), and Heart Rate to verify authentic physical activity.

5.2 No Refunds on Bans

Accounts banned for cheating lose all staked assets immediately.

6. Squad/Team Challenges Liability

6.1 Shared Risk

In "Squad" or "Team" pools, you acknowledge that your potential rewards are dependent on the performance of other human users.

6.2 Third-Party Failure

Calorie Challenge is NOT liable for financial losses you incur because a teammate failed their goal. You accept the risk of your teammates' non-performance.

7. $CALO Token Utility

7.1 Not an Investment

$CALO is a utility token designed for governance and platform fees. It is NOT a security, stock, or investment contract. There is no guarantee of profit or value appreciation.

7.2 Cryptocurrency Risks

You acknowledge the risks associated with cryptocurrency assets, including but not limited to market volatility, regulatory changes, and potential loss of value.

8. Financial Terms

• Entry Fees: All challenge entry fees are non-refundable once the challenge begins.
• Platform Fee: A platform fee (typically 5-15%) is deducted from prize pools.
• Overtime Extensions: Requesting overtime extensions incurs additional fees as disclosed in the app.
• Withdrawals: Withdrawals are subject to minimum amounts and network fees.

9. Dispute Resolution

We reserve the right to void challenge results and freeze payouts if we detect:

• Fraudulent activity
• Technical failures
• Violations of these Terms

Disputed results will be reviewed by our verification team, and our decision is final.

• Any loss, direct or indirect, from relying on app functionality
• Network connectivity issues affecting challenge tracking
• Third-party service outages
